Resolutions for the New Year
Happy New Year Everyone! The holiday season has come to a close and as I finish putting away all the Christmas decorations, I like to think of it as a fresh start to the New Year. It feels like a chance to wipe the slate clean and get organized. I think almost everyone looks at the New Year this way.
When setting your resolutions, instead of making one huge resolution to last the whole year, try and make smaller monthly or weekly goals that are easier (or perhaps more realistic) to achieve. You’ll feel better about accomplishing a little something for yourself each week or month rather than have the possibility of being disappointed at the end of the year. I mean come on, I think all of us have broken a resolution at some point in our lives (and if you haven’t…how??).
Make resolutions that you know will make you happy and better your life. Think of goals in terms of This week I’m going to: start that new book everyone is talking about or have date night with my husband or sign up for a new yoga class or take an hour for myself and get a facial at Clarice’s (just a suggestion
).
Whatever your goals for the new year, month, week or even just today, I wish you the best of luck and praise for a job well done! Let’s make this year better than the last!
